Reservations Terms & Conditions

Please read the terms and conditions of your booking carefully, by using the website and making your reservation you are agreeing to be bound by the hotel terms and conditions below:-

Payment
All reservations must be guaranteed by a credit/debit card and payment is then due in full on departure at the hotel. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT of 20%

Rates
Please note that all rates displayed on this website are subject to availability and current at the time of reservation only. All rates are dependent on the number of room occupants and are therefore only valid for the number of adults and children entered and displayed in confirmation email.

Amendment/Cancellation
If cancelled up to 48 hours before the 2.00 p.m. check-in time, there will be no charge. If cancelled within 48 hours of the check-in time, 100% of the first night will be charged. Failure to show or a curtailment of stay will result in a charge of 100% of the booking.
This policy does not apply to reservations made on group bookings or advance purchase rates (see below) and other promotional rates as indicated online.

All guests are advised to take appropriate holiday insurance.

Reservations made online must be amended/cancelled online, amendments/cancellations made online will automatically receive an email confirmation of the amendment/cancellation.

Advance Purchase Rates
Advance purchase rates require full payment which is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable as such we advise insurance be taken at your discretion. Should the full payment be declined the reservation will automatically be cancelled.

Group Bookings

Bookings of over 5 rooms will be deemed a group booking, a non-refundable deposit of £100 will be charged at the time of booking. If the booking is cancelled within 7 days of the check in day 100% of the booking will be charged.

Family Rooms
Please contact the hotel so we can check availability and suggest the most suitable room to suit your requirements.

Special Requests
The Lion Hotel makes every effort to accommodate special requests however on occasion it may not be possible to do so. The Lion Hotel accept no responsibility for accommodating special requests. We regret we cannot accept a conditional reservation (i.e. a booking which is specified to be conditional on the fulfillment of a particular request).

Supplements
Please be advised that certain supplements including chocolates, flowers & birthday cakes must be reserved a minimum of 72 hours in advance.

Check in/out
Rooms are available from 2 pm on the day of arrival and until 11 am on the day of departure. These times apply irrespective of your arrival time at the hotel. We regret that during busy periods check in times cannot be guaranteed. Luggage can be left with Reception for residents only – items are left at own risk and The Lion Hotel accepts no responsibility for items left.

Guest Behavior
All guests who stay with The Lion Hotel are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly and acceptable manner and not to disrupt the enjoyment of other guests. If, in the opinion of the Hotel Management, your behavior is causing or is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to yourself or other guests or damage to property, we reserve the right to terminate our hotel accommodation at any time. In the event of such termination the hotel’s liability to such person(s) will discontinue and such person(s) will be required to leave the hotel immediately and we shall have no further obligations to such person(s). Please note that The Lion Hotel reserves the right to refuse check in or ask for a refundable deposit at the hotel’s discretion.

Car parking
We have parking for upto 25 cars, there is ample free roadside parking near the hotel if the car park becomes full.
